Long Weekend, July 9-12

When I went back to the podiatrist and I couldn’t tell him the injection had helped he sent me to therapy, which I did the first time Thursday evening.

It hurt like CRAZY, but the next morning I could walk without limping… amazing!!… and we took off for Kremmling, Colorado for the Elevation Festival!  Maxx & Minnie (& Marcel) were as anxious as we were!
It was heavy traffic through Denver with the continuous rush hour and construction, but also heavy traffic into the high country!

We thought it was going to be cooler 2000’ higher but it was 95° when we got to Kremmling!  As always in Colorado, it cooled down considerably later.

We enjoyed a drive up to Wolford Mountain Reservoir where we saw our neighbors, the Alzoni’s and some beautiful scenery.

We were back home in Maxx by sunset but Stacey shared her sunset pics with me!

Beautiful!

The Elevation Festival started at the park across from the high school at 3:00 pm on Saturday, but we were early.

What a great afternoon and evening it was with various Christian artists and Jace Robertson from Duck Dynasty, and our favorite group from Branson, Missouri, The Pederson’s.

We even listened to a Rap group and liked it!

The next morning at the festival was worship with The Petersens and Pastor Robbie James followed by a BBQ lunch.  We stayed and watched them disassemble the stage and fold it up into a trailer which was amazing, and then took a ride over Gore Pass to Yampa and back.

Monday morning we headed home.  Due to the fires up there we had a lot of smoky views! It was a short trip for us, but very enjoyable!

Harvest was in full swing when we got home.  I had my second therapy session that evening after we got Maxx all settled back in his barn, and the
next morning was Mohs surgery for Mark in Aurora.
