Back to South Dakota!

 Monday, July 25, we journeyed back to Hart Ranch near Rapid City.

It has been quite hot since we have been here.  The first evening and Tuesday we just stayed in with the ACs.  (The last time we were here we spent a few snow days in Maxx!)

 

Yesterday, July 27, was Mark’s birthday.  We spent the some time walking around Deadwood.  

After Deadwood we drove to Sturgis to check things out to the Full Throttle Saloon.  We saw more people than we ever had there before and Mark talked to the owner.

Activity is definitely picking up in the area in preparation for the 81st Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally which starts on August 6.

 Minnie’s outdoor temp indicator told us it was 109° when we pulled up to the Full Throttle.  I believe she had it right!

Right now (3:30 pm Wednesday) it is only 100°, so a definite cool down! 🥵 😂
