Thursday, May 13, was the first day of Silver Dollar City’s Bluegrass & BBQ festival.... a perfect time to have our old friends the Sales and the Ludwig’s join us to hear some great bluegrass groups and see the park.
We have all been married fifty years or more! I walked up to a young couple and asked if one of them would take our picture. The guy was nice enough to take several shots. We found out they had only been married five days!
Fifty years looks good on both these couples!
After my surreal impromptu wheel chair excursion first thing in the morning, there was no way I was going on any more thrill rides! I was happy, though, to get from each couple to agree to be the riders for our group! Bill and Linda are indeed dare-devils!
We finished up the day at Crazy Craig’s Cheeky Monkey Bar. What a fun place and a bunch of fun people! Good BBQ too!
This was very cool. The DJ was starting music at 9 pm just as we were getting ready to leave. Before he started, he told about meeting Bill and noticing his cap. He honored both Bill and Harry and they got to sign their names on the special Veteran’s Wall. It was very meaningful and the whole place applauded! Thank you guys!!

Awesome! Do they still require masks?
Love seeing all of this. I miss you all. X
I know everyone misses you too, Curt!
Vicki, yes, they still require masks but not outside distances so less strict and we get by well.
Do you see responses when I comment here??
Yes ma'am!
Looks like a very fun day.
Great pics of what looks like a great time with fun friends, music and food!
How are you doing with your new red ride? What did you name her? Has to begin with a M!!
It turns out the new ride is a HE. Marcel! Marcel Ledbetter, but we just call him Marcel!
