I didn’t post for a few days because there wasn’t a lot to report. I rested this pesky heel all day Monday. We did laundry and Mark washed Minnie on Tuesday and I rested my heel more.
Wednesday I resorted to riding a scooter at Walmart. Mark decided we should buy a wheel chair so I agreed if he was willing to push me! After a search at a couple of places, we found a little wheelchair at a thrift store!
It was a perfect fit thanks to some recent weight loss!😂

Thursday was the first day of Silver Dollar City’s Bluegrass & BBQ Festival! It was great to have friends Bill & Peg Sale, Harry & Linda Ludwig, and Brian & Kathy Adams meet us there bright and early.
I took this “selfie” of Peg and I as we were waiting for the flag ceremony. Notice how tightly Mark is holding on to my chair on that hilly street. I was completely confident with my feet both up on the fold down foot platforms without a care in the world. And then.....As they were honoring our veterans, suddenly I didn’t know why but I thought Mark was pushing me quickly out of the crowd for some reason. I suddenly realized I no longer had a knight in shining armor holding tightly to the handles and I was heading right straight for a couple down the hill!! I don’t think I hit them, but I don’t know how I got stopped either!!
I honestly don’t know what happened, so I asked innocent bystander Peg Sale to give this first person account for us:
“My account of the run away wheelchair chair at SDC.
We are all standing around talking and all of a sudden there goes Vicki lickety split down the hill towards a couple and we all looked and thought she knew these people and was excited see them, especially since Mark wasn't concerned. I looked again and she is running into this couple. Water bottle goes flying and Mark gives me this look like “I guess I better go get her.” I still didn't know what this was all about. She gets back up the hill and that's when we all find out she was a run away and had no idea who the people were that she ran into. We all laughed all day about Vicki's meeting new not so happy new friends.🤣🤣🥰
Seriously.... could anything have been more embarrassing?? And I STILL don’t know what happened!

What I was trying to say is there is a parking brake you should investigate, lol
😁
This brought us humor all day long. I took a second look and thought that Vicki knew that couple and was excited and in a hurry to talk to them. Since no one was hurt it has brought us laughter every time we think of it. Vicki we love you and only laugh because that is what real friends should do in case like that. Thank you Mark and Vicki was showing us around and for all the fun we had that lovely day at SDC.
Love you, too, Peg!! And it is fun to laugh!
