Stagecoach Journey, Part 2, 6/5/21

This photo was taken by Dennis Crider.

Our friends, the Danners and the Adams arrived at our Silverton RV park at about 10am Saturday morning, June 5.

The plans were to get to Caprock Canyon by 1:00 pm to hook up with the Stagecoach and riders for Brian to start his ride, so Mark and I took off for a ride taking our time.

As we were moseying back by a longer route,  we got a text from Kathy telling us there had been a change of plans and Brian was to meet the coach in Turkey to ride on the highway due to muddy roads on the planned route.

They hurried off and met them and we actually got there in time to meet up with them along the way and take a few videos and pictures!
I posted two of those videos on my Facebook page.

This stagecoach was the first ride at Silver Dollar City at Branson, Missouri and Brian Adams remembers riding it as a young boy.  What special fun for him to get to recreate that ride.  The only thing that could have been better would have been for him to get to ride shotgun again!  Brian is waving from inside.  It is hard to see his face!

They switched riders and Rick Danner and grandkids Christian & Asa got to ride too!

We followed the coach and riders to the museum in Quitaque and spent some time there.

Patti, Asa and Christian Danner.

I sat on a horse!  This is NOT a normal thing for me, but I got brave and asked a cowboy if I could.

We left and did some more exploring and made it back to Caprock Canyon for the evening festivities!
